Westin winter installation

The Westin Ottawa wanted to bring the winter inside their lobby with this installation. I created this cozy little spot for people to put their skates to enjoy the canal. It consisted of a big white tree with hundreds of leaves coming down from the ceiling and a window with a bespoke winter landscape.

About the process

For so long I wanted to try to create and image made out of layers of paper and this was my opportunity to learn this technique, it was very entertaining to put all of the little pieces together to create the landscape, almost like putting together a puzzle.
