Paper piece created with a curved pleating technique, mounted on a 16"x20" canvas protected with a 3" deep acrylic box.
I'm from a city in Mexico called Aguascalientes. And during April there's a massive fair called "Feria de San Marcos" where back in the day cockfighting was the main attraction and to this day is still such a big symbol that represents my city. With this piece I wanted to pay homage to that creating an abstract (and less violent) version of two tangled roosters dancing.
