Paper piece created with a curved pleating technique, mounted on a 16"x20" canvas protected with a 3" deep acrylic box. 
 
Mexican folklore dance has fascinated me since I was a little girl. I never learn how to dance it but it is inevitable that I will have goosebumps every time I see a performance. This piece is inspired by the beautiful and colorful skirts in movement. A joyful feeling captured in time.
